This Date In Providence Bruins History: January 10

1993: City firefighter and season ticket holder Rob Gribbin suits up as a backup goalie and sees eight minutes of action against the Adirondack Red Wings, stopping both of two shots faced. His relief effort, though, does little more than stop the bleeding in a 7-3 Providence loss.

2003: Andrew Raycroft stops 39 out of 40 shots faced, including 15 in the first period alone, to pace the P-Bruins to a 5-1 win over Worcester at The Dunk. Providence thus improves to 11-0-1 in its past 12 games.

2004: Hannu Toivonen repels 42 out of 44 shots while Brendan Walsh singlehandedly matches the Springfield Falcons output with both P-Bruins goals in a 2-2 tie.
